I am a black Latino. My father is from Colón, Panama, and my mother is from outside of the interior in Georgetown, Guyana. Due to this mixture, I identify with both Latino and West Indian culture. I am a first-generation “American” student because I am part of the first generation born on U.S. soil. Even though my parents spoke other languages, my parents used English as a common language to raise me and my siblings. My family has influenced my relationship to my culture and academics.
I aim to use a combination of contemporarily relevant posting, images, video, and poetry to create enticing content to attract new participants in a collective digital dialogue. I would want participants to be active and authentic in the digital dialogue online while taking the initiative to be critical, reflexive, and researchful offline.

This was my first time creating and actively using a Twitter. I used it as a digital archival space to engage in live reflection and summation of a conversation about scholarly work. The tweets below are highlighted to display key takeaways I got from the conversion and moments that spoke to me emotionally.
